"Rotary International expects to have over two million members within 10 years," according to A.C. Moncrief, District 6110 Governor-Elect. reporting on the recent 2009 International Assembly in San Diego, CA. Moncrief, who was the President of the Van Buren Rotary Club in 1997-98, was the speaker at the club's January 29th noon meeting.Sharing the enthusiasm for Rotary generated by bringing together next year's District Governors from around the world, A.C. recounted several examples of how Rotarians "are part of something special, working with friends and making new friends."
A.C. also announced the Rotary International theme for 2009-10, "The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands."
